New collection of Acabados Abellán: What is coming

By 22 de December de 2014November 8th, 2023No Comments

The collection autumn/winter 2015-2016 of Acabados Abellán is inspired, more than ever, in nature. For the next season there is a movement toward the animal world, the wealth of vegetation and printed minerals. The texture is very important: napped, felted, coarse finishes and contrasts with ethereal fabrics, but with body. This trend is inspired by the Land Art, the art of the Earth, which makes us look at what has always been there and we overlooked: nature and all the species that inhabit it. Immersed in a modern world that tends to be rigid and restrictive, we look forward to a simpler form that is natural, free and, above all, away from technology. Nature represents everything that cannot be predicted or domesticated; it can be static and gentle; but also be rugged and wild.

Within this line of the Calabria item it gets mingled with the chromatic richness of the veins that make up the most unknown minerals. Monzón, on the other hand, evokes the rough trees trunks. Anzio captures the feeling that comes to us from the desert of Arizona, charred by the sun, vast and intimidating, but still so beautiful. The earth is the element that is most inspiring with textures that are melted in an endless number of shades that are toned down and therefore creating a depth effect, such as in items Imola and Togo. These are items that offer a timeless feeling with warmth that encourages: the interpreted of Mother Nature in a refined way.

Other products in the new collection are associated with the global trend called normcore: this consists in dressing in a normal manner while running away from excess and the preoccupation with ones image. This means to be in an un-intentioned sense, but it may turn out to be planned to perfection. Following the schizophrenic logic that moves fashion, when most seek originality, the only way to be differentiated (and hence, be cool) is to… avoid it. Well, with a stiletto heel, sports sneakers.

The intention resides in doing without the trendy, rescuing completely casual items at the risk of turning out to be vulgar or bland, but that finally could pas to be unnoticed in any avenue of the global capital. This trend of normcore is translated in our catalogue in skins in favour of a chromatic containment, simple and that avoid any device, like the items Canada and Bidasoa. Following this trend, the autumn 2015-2016, we will see a massive presence of pump shoes in black and in beige which are built with few pieces of skin and with traditional forms. The same applies to handbags and belts, smooth, discreet and with few ornamental details, advocating a new style refined, stripped of all unnecessary and the purely cosmetic.

The ‘animal print’ or animal pattern trend which in consistently repeated each season, loses the title of trend and turns into a basic essential.

On the catwalks, the signature brands also have ‘caught’ this trend in their collections and many references are found: from impressive long length lady-like gloves by Christian Dior, to the more urban style of the total look of Miu Miu, passing by Blumarine, such as Roberto Cavalli and Acne Studio. Within this trend, our item Kasama is an exotic leopard that evokes adventure and distant destinations. Libya, on the other hand, provides a more sophisticated tone while Udine awakens intrigues and inspires the imagination.

Totana is presented as our most Baroque item of the season, inspired by the sumptuous and rich prints of the maharajas, in a journey of extravagant treasures accompanied by touches in a more palace like taste. For its part, Glaciar is a bold and balanced item of fresh appearance, based on the qualities of strong and reliable water, it is perceived as reflective and introspective, Geko is a romantic and elegant tone that is reminiscent of the deco era and stimulates femininity.
