The new Acabados Abellán spring/summer 2018 collection is now available. Its wide palette of colours ranges from classic shades to some extraordinary ones that defy the traditional rules of the game. Acabados Abellán also offers us retro and nostalgic articles, artistic inspirations, Oriental eccentricity and surprising shades such as camellia pink which has come back to win us over.
Natural shades ranging from neutrals such as Butter or Albaida to greys such as the increasingly present Klin and Polka stand out in the Acabados Abellán range of colours for next summer. The summer always brings back light and joy reflected in colours such as Borago and Veira.
UNBEATABLE BLUE
Pantone blues, unbeatable amongst winning colours, also stand out in the Acabados Abellán collection because no colour can top it in terms of elegance and style. Danubio is a sky blue that goes well with everything, whilst Delion gives us a very serious finish that lends itself to self-confidence and personality.
Yellow, with its wide range of shades that go from vanilla Butter to sulphur Borago and mustard Soller, are also present in the Acabados Abellán collection and fill it with optimism. Yellow works well in ‘absolute looks’ or when its effect is watered down using dark shades, both for the day and at night.
CRANK UP THE TONE
In quite a different range of colours, Nassau, a shade that symbolically severs the balance with the other colours, is the strongest in this colour palette. It’s a bold and warm strawberry that’s very attractive and gets the heart racing. This pink goes well with neutral Arce that tones it down or with Adra to enrich it with warmth and elegance.
The innocent, country aesthetic with which Brigitte Bardot seduced the world in the 50s and 60s, slips into the Acabados Abellán patterns. These include Paraíso and Rosal articles that are half way between Swinging London and an Andy Warhol work of art. These floral patters emanate a positive, rejuvenating energy. Asia is another source of inspiration for some of the Acabados Abellán articles. For example, Fiore and Athos that reflect the Far East and reinterpret their exquisite motifs.
The Acabados Abellán range of leathers fits in perfectly with the shoes on the catwalks for the next summer season in which thin-heeled, fine-toe court shoes will be the star item, as well as laced shoes and sandals and babouche and Moroccan-style slipper shoes.
Another of the must-have accessories for the season will be belts that shape the waist in an ode to feminine empowerment and with an 80s flair. A T-shaped outline with a very over-the-top structure that won’t go unnoticed.
